If you are a matriculated undergraduate student interested in joining the MMLA, please contact the MMLA office to receive more information on the process of becoming a member. MMLA memberships for undergraduate students are free.
Membership in the MMLA is for the fiscal year; persons who join are enrolled as members for the year in which they join from July 1 of the current year until June 30 of the subsequent year. Payment of membership dues does not constitute payment of the convention registration fee. Once you have become a member, you will be able to register for the convention on this website; for more information on the convention, including registration forms and fees, please see the Convention tab. More information on the convention will soon be forthcoming.
Departmental MembershipsA Departmental Membership enables a department's adjunct faculty and graduate students to join the MMLA without having to pay for an individual membership. Adjunct faculty and graduate students who wish to take advantage of their department's Departmental Membership should enroll at an individual Membership level (see above), select the "Invoice me" option at the payment stage of their enrollment, and then email their invoice to [email protected] with the name of the university and department whose Departmental Membership is covering their membership fee. After verifying your department's Departmental Membership, the MMLA staff will mark your enrollment invoice as "paid." To determine whether your department has a Departmental Membership, please search for your department's name in the membership directory. Institutional MembershipsThe MMLA welcomes institutions like public, private, and university libraries to become members. Like individual members, institutional members of the MMLA receive digital access to all published issues of JMMLA as well as all issues of its predecessor publication, the MMLA Bulletin. To establish your institutional membership, please select the "Join" option in the Quick Links, or click here. |
