Sleeping Accommodations
Hotel reservations at the convention site, Hilton Chicago, can be made at the member rate until October 29 (or until filled) and canceled without penalty three business days prior to arrival as long as a cancellation number is provided.

- The MMLA has launched official Discord servers for the 2024 Convention and Undergraduate Research Symposium. While additional channels will be added at a later date, attendees who join our servers this summer will be able to access spaces dedicated to locating roommates and rideshares. Travel and Transportation
There are two primary airports that service Chicago, IL and a few ways to access the convention site from/to them:
- O'Hare International Airport (ORD)
- Airlines: United, American, Spirit, Frontier, Delta, etc.
- Rideshare: Uber, Lyft, etc.
- 30-40 Minutes to Hilton Chicago and Downtown
- ~$40-60 (depending on time of day and current demand)
- Public Transportation: CTA Blue Line ('L' Train)
- 60-65 Minutes to Hilton Chicago and Downtown
- $5.00 Single-Trip Ticket (Up to 3 Rides in 2 Hours)
- Chicago Midway International Airport (MDW)
- Airlines: Southwest, Frontier, Delta, Allegiant, etc.
- Rideshare: Uber, Lyft, etc.
- 20-30 Minutes to Hilton Chicago and Downtown
- ~$30-50 (depending on time of day and current demand)
- Public Transportation: CTA Orange Line ('L' Train)
- 45-50 Minutes to Hilton Chicago and Downtown
- $3.00 Single-Trip Ticket (Up to 3 Rides in 2 Hours)
If you plan to sightsee while you are in Chicago, we recommend purchasing a CTA and Pace Pass, which offers unlimited rides on all CTA and Pace trains and buses for a select period of time. Each CTA 'L' train station (including those at O'Hare and Midway airports) has a number of Ventra Vending Machines where passes can be purchased. Current pricing is as follows:
- 1-Day Pass: $5
- 3-Day Pass: $15
- 7-Day Pass: $20

Upcoming Deadlines

- Participants in the MMLA Convention and Undergraduate Research Symposium must pay for their non-refundable membership and registration fees. (Please Note: After September 15, regular registration will be $180 and special registration $80). - All relevant updates to panels and workshops (including attendees' names, affiliations, as well as presentation titles and abstracts) must be submitted to the MMLA. |

- Applications for the Graduate Student Paper Prize are due to the MMLA. |
Oct 29 |
- Final day for attendees to reserve a hotel room at the MMLA-member rate ($229). |
Nov 14-16 |
- The 65th Annual MMLA Convention and Undergraduate Research Symposium at the Hilton Chicago. |
Nov 25 |
- Applications for the Undergraduate Student Paper Prize are due to the MMLA. - Chairs are asked to report relevant details pertaining to their panel(s) to the MMLA. |
